Our Hatha Helpers

Will I always have the same Hatha Helper™?

Wherever possible, we aim to match each client with the most suitable Hatha Helpers™ and maintain continuity of support. We believe our service works best when a trusted relationship develops between clients and their Helper.

In some cases, clients may require more than one Hatha Helpers™ - for example, if there is a large amount of work to complete or specialist skills are needed for certain tasks.

If your regular Hatha Helpers™ is unavailable, such as during holidays, we will always do our best to arrange suitable continuity cover.

Are Hatha Helpers™ insured?

Yes. Every Hatha Helper™ has their own insurance policy covering work carried out in clients’ homes.

If they use their vehicle for client-related tasks, we also ensure the vehicle is appropriately insured and approved for business use.

How are Hatha Helpers™ vetted?

We have a thorough recruitment and selection process developed over many years through our sister company, Home Counties Carers.

We carefully select Hatha Helpers™ who align with our company values, culture, and high standards of service. For added reassurance, every Hatha Helper™ holds a current DBS certificate.

Why are they called Hatha Helpers™?

The term Hatha means "this and that" in Arabic and is also widely recognised as a form of yoga associated with balance, positivity, and wellbeing. We chose the name to reflect the special people who bring energy, kindness, and practical support into our clients' homes.

Our service

Do I need to commit to a regular schedule of visits?

No. Our service is completely flexible. With the agreement of your Hatha Helper™, you can choose how and when to use your pre-paid hours.

Why is there a minimum 2-hour visit?

Visits begin when your Hatha Helper™ arrives at your home. A minimum two-hour visit helps ensure time is spent productively, rather than travelling between short appointments.

Most clients find it easy to fill two hours with household tasks and odd jobs. With the agreement of your Hatha Helper™, visits can also be extended beyond two hours if required.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If you are ever unhappy with your Hatha Helper™, we will first try to find a suitable alternative. However, if you would prefer a refund, we will return any pre-paid balance for unused hours.

Why do I need to pre-pay?

Our service is designed to be flexible, with no lengthy contracts or ongoing commitments. Pre-payment simply ensures that your account remains in credit and provides reassurance for your Hatha Helper™.

Our costs and other terms

Is there a charge if I cancel a scheduled visit?

We always try to be as flexible as possible. However, if a pre-booked visit is cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, the Hatha Helper™ may charge for the missed appointment.

Are there any additional costs?

If your Hatha Helper™ needs to drive you somewhere or use their vehicle on your behalf, mileage charges may apply.

Any such costs, along with expenses incurred on your behalf - such as parking fees or shopping purchases - should be reimbursed directly to the Hatha Helper™.
